Today’s walk was a short one up a little hill just outside of Builth Wells. We’ve driven past it thousands of times I reckon but never even looked at it on the map. We’ve been keen to find walks that Sandra and I can revisit of an evening and burn off a few calories. I don’t like to admit it….but she needs the exercise.
Garth is hill in Welsh and that’s what it’s called. We had to park a little way down from it but it’s a public footpath. Not far from the road to the top but worth the short walk as it does give really interesting views of the town and the Wye Valley.
The weather was a bit wet and the cloud was low but we weren’t out long, maybe an hour from home, up the hill and back down into Builth. We saw a dead fox lying in the ferns, which is the second in a few days. Can’t say I’d noticed dead foxes lying around before away from roads.
