I did a bit of a talk last night for one of the local WI groups. We lit a fire in a wooden shed with no fire extinguishers, made and fired some projectiles and finished off with some rainbows. Hopefully they’ll all go and force small children to do physics….
The IOP do a WI pack: http://www.iop.org/activity/outreach/activity/file_49007.pdf
There’s also a briefing sheet for parents called “It’s different for girls” which is full of useful information you might find handy for encouraging young females to take physics at A level. You can find it here: http://www.iop.org/education/teacher/support/girls_physics/file_58199.pdf
